quotes to encourage

"Trying is lying. There is no such thing as trying. You do it or you don’t. You get results in life or you have excuses why you didn’t."
Good quote on getting healthy and meeting our goals.

I will update later. I have 5 research papers to start and complete by the middle of this month so I might not be on as much, but I will most defintely be here in spirit!!!!!!!!

Spring is in the air!

I love this time of year! For some reason it makes me want to be really healthy! Most likely because I know swimsuit season is around the corner. I am gonna post about yesterday bc I never got the chance!

Yesterday I had the awesome wonderful breakfast cookie! I made mine with bananas and it was soooo good! For lunch I had the pita with hummus and swiss. ( I'm not savvy with those hyperlinks so I am just gonna hope you know what I'm talking about!) I added spinach and it was yum!

Snack was apple with peanut putter and it really filled me up. SO I just had a handful of dried cherries later in the evening.

I went on a run/jog/walk around boomer lake this afternoon, with layla. I made it all the way around ( 3 miles) but I am not gonna lie it was mostly jogging and walking. :) It was fun though bc it was so nice. I am gonna try it again today, hopefully with more running.

I CANT WAIT FOR TOMORRRRROW!! yay!

WELP I'm outtie!

FINALLLLLLLYYY

I FINALLY HAVE THE CHANCE TO WRITE! That stomach flu wore me plum out! :) I am not going to count yesterday bc all I had was gatorade and a banana bc I was sick, so I will start with today!!
I was still queasy so for breakfast I had a smoothie from smoothie king without sugar. I think it was 250 calories and had fresh fruit, so not tooooo bad. Lunch was a lean cuisine and a banana. ( I know not too creative!). Dinner was better I had a spinach salad with low fat feta, cranberries, almonds, evoo, and a splash of vinegar, with grilled chicken breast. It was yummmmmmy!
Working out has been bad! I have gotten off schedule being sick! All I did was my morning crunches.
Tomorrow will better!
Tonite I am going to try to make the alnond butter cookies, I am excited! I went shopping tonight too and got tons of fruits, veggies, and healthy stuff, so I am excited!

Can't wait for our girls weekend, will be a ball!

Call me tomorrow when your free!

wah-wah-wah WORKIN for the weekend!

Is that a song? haha- I feel like it is.
I think we are FINALLY getting the hang of this blog.
So last night I worked out for about 30 minutes again. It was the same old workout. 15 on the elliptical and 15 strength. You think that is okay or should I be doing more? I am doing seven days a week and I figured out on sparkpeople.com that I need to burn 560 calories a week to lose 20 pounds in two months. But I figured out on sparkpeople that if I work out 7 days a week then I will be burning 1500 cals a week. Is that too much...I mean will I not get the right results? Because sparkpeople says I am burning almost 300 day with my exercise.
Also, I know you are suppose to mix up your exercise routine. So I am not quite sure what I am going to do next month for my new exercise routine, but I guess I will worry about that later.

Okay so I am thinking this for the weekend, Kelli.
11:30: Meet in T-Town at whole foods & browse..maybe even grab a bite to eat there.
Here is the flyer that lists all of the specials for this week.
* Head over to Purple Glaze for awhile and do our thaaaaaaaaang! I always want to call it Purple Haze..because of the Jimmi Hendrix song.
* Head the mall to find clothes...if we have time
*Check in to Hotel & get ready!
*Go eat at In the Raw and eat suishi! I already looked at the menu and know what I am going to get! :)
*Go back to hotel and make drinks while waiting on cab!
I am sooooooo excited! It'll be perfecto!

OH AND DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR CAMERA! I still cannot find my charger and my battery is dead. I will turn the house upside down these next few days to find it.

You really need to get on here girlfrrrrrrrrrrrrrriend!
Seeeeeeeya ♥ are you jealous that I learned how to put those hearts?

Starting off....

Kelli-
I got really off track when I went to the Bridal Shower. I barely ate anything that day and then the next day I was so hungry and had some of the chocolate. I ended up throwing the rest of it away. I got back on track, as far as, exercising goes..yesterday. Yesterday I did the elliptical for 5 minutes or longer (until my heart rate got up) then would stop, do crunches, and use the band to do arm work- then I would get back on and do the same three other times. So I worked out for 30 minutes. Today I am back on track as far as eating healthy. Today Avery and I went out and walked a mile, I did housework, then shared a bunch of grapes with Avery for my breakfast and her snack. I had water to drink and then just ate my lunch an hour ago. I had fresh green lettuce, sliced roma tomatoes, 1 cubed inch of feta sprinkled over and then a tsp. of EVOO.
This is probably really boring to read like this. So, do you suggest uploading pictures from our phones on here or how should we do this?

Let's atleast keep track of our food and exercise. I went to http://www.sparkpeople.com/ and filled out an account. It says that in 2 months I could lose 20 pounds and it tells me how many cals, carbs, protein, and fat per day and week and then how many cals to workout.

I found that if I listen to certain music then it really helps me want to workout longer. One of my reasons for wanting to workout is because I want to always be fit no matter what age.

Okay here are some recipes I found that I am wanting to make this week sometime:
--Spaghetti Squash..I already bought the squash- so I really DO have to make it- I am defintely going to modify it and make it a little simpler though.
Next...
--veggie burger

Okay and lastly..you HAVE to do what I am about to tell you! Remember me telling you about the breakfast cookie? Or did I tell my mom? Well anyway here is a breakfast cookie that I found circulating all of the blogs we have been reading. It is the best thing EVER. But at first, I thought I can't make it because it calls for Almond Butter and I don't have any. Well then i realized I could probably make it and it was soooooooooooooo simple! So here is the recipe for the almond butter- only takes 3 ingredients! You really need to make it because it DELICIOUS, it fills you up BIG time, and it is super EASY!

Okie doke. We need to subscribe to some heath mags to stay motivated. But I really think this should help, too.

♥See ya! ♥
